The Golden Bird is built to Jimmy's exact specification.

* The body is solid high grade mahogany finished in a gold mist.

* The neck is licensed by Fender and built like a 69 Strat using figured mahogany with a C profile and 9.5 radius but with a 24 3/4 inch scale. -The fingerboard is rosewood with medium jumbo frets and abalone dot inlay.

* The pickups are three Joe Barden Soap Bars, and also uses a Fishman Power Bridge with Powerchip.

* The input jack is intelligent and will know if it a stereo or mono jack being plugged in .

* The wiring is based on vintage specs (cloth wire) and CTS pots. It uses a blend pot and a standard three-way toggle to use the three pickups in various configurations. It has one master volume, one master tone, one volume for the Power Bridge and of course the blend pot.

* The tuners are Sperzel locking tuners and the bridge and stop tailpiece are Tone Pro. All hard ware is gold plated.

We have also installed the new patent pending Thackery-Brinkley vibrato system which is a bolt on and is made of brass and stainless steel. The vibrato is optional.

The guitar can be in any color, but gold mist is the standard color. The body can also be chambered to reduce the weight of the guitar, but solid is standard. We can also do long or short scale neck. These options are available at not extra charge. A case is icluded in the price.

Guitars are built only when an order has been received, and requires 50% down at time of order. Build time is about three months, but could be as little as two month, depending on work load at the time of order. Balance is due upon delivery of the guitar. The 50% down is a non-refundable amount, This is to cover our cost should you change your mind.

Total cost for the guitar, unless Illinois State Tax is required, will be $2800.00 with the vibrato and $2475.00 with out the vibrato, plus shipping cost.
