Eddy Poirier is a true legend in Eastern Canada. An accomplished instrumentalist, he is a genuine and rare artist whose contributions and influence continue to garner the highest respect of his peers. He has formed and led one of the earliest, and perhaps most critically acclaimed, and still beloved bluegrass bands of our times, the Bluegrass 4. Eddy has received many Awards at the Eastern Canadian Bluegrass Music Awards, in the categories of “Guitar Player” (Master), “Fiddle Player”, “Banjo Player” and is a Five-time Winner (Master) for “Entertainer of the Year”. He has been presented with the “Pioneer Award” for his contribution to music in the Maritimes. He has also been inducted into the New Brunswick Country Music Hall of Fame. Eddy lives in Moncton with his wife Rose where he operates a fine instrument repair shop.

Bryan Poirier, grandson to Eddy, always loved Janet’s music from a very young age. Bryan is still young!, but already so musical. It is as natural to him as breathing. These days, he’s flexing his musical muscles on Dawg music with his new mandolin. But when it comes to performing, he is right in the moment, playing what the song calls for with whatever he happens to hold in his hands. He always finds the notes and tones that are complimentary, always supporting the song and finding just the right harmony part.
