In 2006, I had the priviledge of being employed by Miss Dixie and Tom T. Hall, developing and managing the websites for Tom T Hall, their record label, Blue Circle Records, as well as their music publishing, Good Homegrown Music (including Hallnote & More Good Homegrown Music).

It was a pleasure to work with Miss Dixie and Tom T. which also including providing photography for a few of their Blue Circle Records artists' recording projects, and under the artistic direction of Miss Dixie, who delighted herself and those around her, with her 'hands-on' approach for greatness and creative ideas.

In 2006, Miss Dixie and Tom T gave the keynote address at the 'Showcase Bluegrass Brunch' at the IBMA World of Bluegrass convention in Nashville, and announced that the royalties of their Good Homegrown Music song catalog, to be willed to benefit the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) at the time of their passing.

I worked for the Hall's until the passing of Miss Dixie in 2015, and it was Tom T's decision to take down his personal website, and the websites for Blue Circle Records's and Good Homegrown Music, since those were a for the most part, Miss Dixie's 'Big, Bluegrass Baby'.

The Hall's received numerous awards from IBMA and SPGBMA over the years and Tom T was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in June 29, 2008, and in 2018, was also inducted into the Bill Monroe Bluegrass Hall of Fame, and sadly, passed away on August 20, 2021.

Dixie's passing was a very sad and heartbreaking time for those that knew, worked for, and loved the Halls.

I took down all the website domains, but in respect to the Hall's desire to share their songs to the world, I've kept the catalog on one of my web hosting servers for all these years, as a resource and a link to their music, for bluegrass artists that may want to consider using the songs of Miss Dixie and Tom T. Hall, for future recordings. Several of the artists close to the Hall's have been aware of their songs still available online, so at this time, I have decided to make their song catalog public and more accessible.

So .. "Welcome to www.goodhomegrownmusic.org" .. the home for of song catalog of Miss Dixie and Tom T. Hall, in dedication and rememberance of two of the finest folks I have ever known and worked with.

This is a 'not-for-profit' website and is dedicated to the loving memory of Miss Dixie and Tom T. Hall, and to all of the wonderful music and good times they shared with the world.
